Classes are held at 2808 Elm Street, Los Angeles, CA 90065. We offer students practice hours between 10am and 10pm. For the beginner student, you'll start learning the basics of making wheel thrown pottery. You will learn how to wedge, center the clay on the pottery wheel and use hand techniques for making a bowl or a cylinder. You’ll learn how to trim your pieces for a bisque firing. This is the first firing, to prepare it to be glazed. Once you have your pieces after the bisque fire, we will teach you the glazing techniques. This is the color you choose for your bowl, cylinder, or whatever you wish your piece to be. You will also learn basics of hand-building using the slab roller and extruder to create other ceramic forms. You can throw or hand-build whatever you like. Thank you and see you in the studio!
